Pear Shaped Diamond

Pear Shaped Diamond is a mix between the round brilliant and marquise shaped Diamond. This originated in the late 1400s,through a Flemish cutter named Lodewyk van Bercken who invented a polishing wheel for diamonds known as a scaif that allowed him to create complex diamond cuts. In 1475, Bercken then invented the world’s first Pear Shaped Diamond. This shape is popular amongst celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Cardi B and many more. They are a perfect example of a classic piece, yet make a strong statement.
